- Discuss your list with a partner, be prepared to share one or more of the ideas you discussed.

Activity 2 - Summarizing Global Conflicts
- Using the Global Conflict Tracker website, work with your current events discussion group to examine the four different examples of current global conflicts presented last day.
- Each person in the group should complete the Examining Global Conflicts handout summarizing three separate examples of conflict.
Activity 3 - Press Conference on Global Conflict
- A News Team works together to develop information for broadcast. Your team should use your research on global conflict to develop information for a “televised” conference on Instances of Conflict around the Globe.
- Work with your partner(s) to create a digital presentation (PowerPoint, Prezi, PowToon, Animoto, Voki, CrazyTalk [which creates virtual 3D talking animations], or another app of your choice). You will use the research from the Explaining Global Conflicts handout and from the Global Conflict Tracker website to create your presentation.
- Choose one conflict to complete your presentation on.
- Questions your presentation should address include:
- What is the conflict?
- What type of conflict is this?
- What nations (or groups within a nation) are involved in the conflict?
- Where is the conflict taking place? (Map)
- What is the background for this conflict?
- What concerns does this conflict generate?
- What are 2 possible solutions to this conflict? (your own thinking)
